I share Bruce's fond memories of going to Tracy and feel blessed to have been a part the family that called it home. I remember sitting on the front porch with Granny and Gran just long enough that it wasn't too obvious that I really wanted to get across the street to see what Billie was cooking or what Buster was growing in the garden. Other memories include carving initials in the highest parts of the maple trees at Granny and Grans and the hemlocks at Billie and Buster's, passing the football in the street. playing kick-the-can, and of course sharing those wonderful meals together. If you didn't like, or get enough of, what Granny was cooking, you could always run across the street to Billie's. Brown hounds (a.k.a. corn dogs) were my childhood favorite. I realize now how much Billie and Buster invested in all of us and what we were able to enjoy in Tracy. Billie will be missed and remembered.
