Obituary of Sylvia Cannon

Miss Sylvia Rae Cannon age 84 of Coalmont, Tennessee passed away Friday, October 14, 2011, in Manchester Health Care. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on December 4, 1926, a daughter of the late, James Edgar Cannon and Lena Patrick Cannon. Miss Cannon was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny, Kirby, Paul and Dennis Cannon; sisters, Mae Wanda Pattie, Frankie Yates and Edwene Brannon. She enjoyed quilting, her flower garden and collected miniature figurines, she was a people watcher and never missed an opportunity to go to town for a hamburger and diet Dr. Pepper. She is survived by a brother, Robert Kenly "Shotgun" (Patsy) Cannon, Estill Springs, TN; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clayton Jones officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
